I was born and raised in Austin, Texas and I will forever be a proud unicorn and longhorn! I come from a family of healers, and I take pride in the amazing work that my mother and grandmother have done as a nurse and social worker. I followed in their footsteps and obtained my Bachelor of Social Work and my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.
A particular passion of mine, present throughout my life, has been fostering healthy relationships. I served in advocate and crisis management roles, all while championing the message of authentic love.
With guidance from my family and through my own therapy, I found the healing power of connection. Connection with self, with others, with community and with divinity. When we are in disconnect, we feel lonely, depressed, anxious, or stressed.
I hope to serve as a guide and companion in navigating the difficult parts of being human, to find a way of life that truly honors your most authentic self.
As Ryan O’Neal, from the band Sleeping At Last, writes in his song about the enneagram type 9:
To know and love ourselves and others well is the most difficult and meaningful work we’ll ever do.
