I’ve learned from my own therapy and my work as a therapist that every individual needs a strategy uniquely created for them that integrates various activities. These might include art, music, mindfulness, yoga, walking outdoors, swimming, writing. While talk therapy is essential, it rarely by itself faciitates a person’s healing, especially when trauma has occurred. I help people understand their particular neurobiology and what might best enable them to alter how they interact with themselves, other people, and the world. At the heart of my work is the belief that our brains are plastic and capable of renewal.
